The 25th edition of the International Hamster Workgroup (IHWG) Conference will be held the next 4-6 October 2018 in Strasbourg. This Conference brings together international researchers studying the causes of decline of the common hamster and trying to find out concrete conservation measures to reverse this trend, notably through improving its farmland habitat. Apart from his scientific approach, this conference presents a major societal interest, mainly through giving new knowledge for educating the general public and farmers to preserve the habitat of the European Hamster and even also of other endangered species. This meeting will have the originality of associating researchers and students of different laboratories from different countries to encourage interaction and collaboration.
